Rotary Cover Resurfacing

Most Seadoo 2-stroke engines from the late 80’s through the mid 2000’s used a rotary intake design. Engine platforms that used this were the 587 (580), 657 (650), 717 (720), and 787 (800) models.

The covers that house these intake plates can wear over time resulting in hard starting, loss of performance and poor fuel economy. Other causes of damage can include water ingestion, debris entering the intake and lack of oil from broken injection lines.

Our process restores the covers back to a smooth, flat condition and the offset as originally manufactured. Seadoo specifies a clearance of 0.012” +/- 0.001”
