Rebuilding the press together crankshafts involve the full disassembly, cleaning and inspection of the crankshaft. Replacement of connecting rod, lower rod bearing and main crank pin. For multi-cylinder cranks, they must be phased to ensure that the cylinders maintain the original firing order and spark advance. The cranks are then trued to ensure runout or axial alignment is within the manufacturer specification. Welding to ensure orientation over the life of the crank is optional!
